I Have Begun!

Well, it has finally happened.

I have finally entered the blogging world.

One would have thought that with my affection for writing, I would have entered into this realm long ago. It took me a while to catch up. But I keep feeling all these things pour out and onto the page in front of me, and I need a forum to share such feelings. Enter: "Pieces of His Heart."

Why the name? Well, for starters, I do not presume to know and understand the heart of God. The Lord is vast and mysterious and awesome. And one of the most mysterious and awesome parts of Himself is that He lets us in on parts of Himself. He shares Himself with us. The God of the universe shares Himself with us! How amazing is that!

These postings are pieces of His heart that I feel like He has shown me. I would like to say that everything I post will be directly from God, but let's face it, I am a fallen being in this realm. Not everything I write is going to be from the Lord. This is simply my clumsy way of expressing the things that, to the best of my knowledge, I feel like He has shown me.

In Matthew 13:11, Jesus tells His disciples that "the secrets of the kingdom have been given to you...". As I grow closer to God, He reveals the secrets of His Kingdom to me. My prayer for this blog is that it can be a forum to share these nuggets of truth with others so they may be blessed and challenged in their own walks with Him, growing closer to the One who knows all secrets...all for His glory!

Sara,
Please tell me more about the inner city group in New Orleans. Do you know how they are doing now? Are they looking for help? If I were to ask my readers to pray for them what specific things should I ask for? Lovely blog, by the way!!!

Hey, thanks for the comment on my post yesterday at SCL. It's great having readers add to the conversation.

Congrats on entering the blogging world. It's awesome!

Know that my blog is a safe place to talk about life's more trivial matters. That's what we do best over there. Everyone needs a break from the serious, right? Keep the comments coming!
